It is important to understand that I am always in fundraising mode.
It is impossible to accomplish my goals for everyone involved in
the Associated Ministries of Operation "OpenUP!" without having a
financial foot to stand on. Babblebug.com, my financial sponsor,
has provided a way for me to sell refurbished phones to raise funds
to support myself and the organizations. As a distributor, I have
been implanted with the talent to refurbish phones and corporate
provides refurbished phones. We are also working on implementing a
buy/back program to aid in our fundraising efforts. Many of our
members help with these phones to raise money to sustain our
operation. It is important that all funds come back to the
organiztion for disbursement to key areas of spending or which gas
and copies are two. We have to be able to see growth.
My Life's
Work. I spend a lot of time on the computer and in the field
networking to grow the reputation, responsibility, outlook and
purpose of Operations "OpenUP!" . ON any given day I may spend from
4 to 12 hours on the computer "working".. Maintaining the site is
quite a chore and between answering emails, making phones calls and
planning for the future, I am kep quite busy.
What coming up
with Operation "OpenUP!". Next week I will be at WorkOne
onMonday. We have a community Partner in the 10th Street Office who
is working with is pastor to provide a covering for Operation
"OpenUP!". We also have a friend in Tasha Johnson, Office Manager,
who will e helping me when I get the DWD computers up and running.
IN fact, I will be helping her because the DWD computers help us to
lighten their load and provides satellite locations for people to
files for their unemployment, look for jobs on CareerConnect and
take advantage of the MindLeaders Program We have several friends
at that locations who are interested in continuing to help to open
the lines of communications is our community. Also on Monday, I
have to meet again with Renata, the gracious inkeeper who allowed
us the use of he inn and conference room for the luncheon last
Tuesday. Unfortunately, she will be selling the inn in the summer.
Boo-hoo!!!! Until then she has pledged to work with me to further
community awareness. She is an angel! she and I have a few plans on
the board that you will hear about once they are finalized. Please
consider patronizing Renata's for your overnite and conference
needs. She can use our support.
Asset Recycling. On
Saturday, while I was giving a fundraising garage sale just to have
gas to make it to all the events for next week, and to be able to
make the copies I will need to pass out at those events, I took
some time to visit one of our stellar Community partners,
Asset Recycling, a
division of Youth Fair Chance, Inc. They have been very
beneficial in forwarding cell phones to us, informing the public of
our mission and donating items to us for fund raising and community
use. The H.O.P.E. Team, god's House of Worship, Roland Retirement
Club and the Goodwill are all entities that I was able to share
their last donation with.. Cheryl and I spoke of several other way
that they can hep us. Please support them. They were my very first
activations and are very near and dear to me. Youth Fair Chance,

Summer Jobs. On Saturday I met with William Kennedy to pay
him the balance of what what due on the luncheon. He gave me a lsit
of summer events that Delia's Ribs will be working (including the
State Fair and the Ribfest) and stated that he may need help. I
have put OP on his contact list for additional help. If anyone is
interested they should contact me. It might be a way to pick up
extra cash, but the days are long and hard ad few and far between.
I am sure he will allow you to use it as a job reference also.
Mina. I spoke twice with Tony Mina of Mina Tailoring
Tuxedo-Apparel, who has pledged a large donations to OP. We are
actually making plans to do come other things and will be working
together on sopme project I 've made him aware of. He's a nice man!
Tuesday. On tuesday morning at 7:15 am.m I plan to be
downtown art a Rainmakers networking event that was arranged by a
member of Smaller Indiana, Scott Emmet. We will then have a power
luncheon to discuss the ideas he has for working with OP. I am
trying to schedule other meetings while I am in the downtown area
on that day.
Wednesday. I will be a vendor at the Job Fair.
I will be scheduling for our very first Activation Clinic. Pastor
Ben will be there to help me as will be my son, Tad (Thaddeus)
Saturday. On Saturday, I will be participating in the
Fatherhood Summit 9:30 to 3:00 PM at School 51, 3426 Roosevelt Ave.

had hoped that we would be able to start a petty cash fund from the
funds raised for the luncheon. We are cash strapped, but we go on
as do the expenses. In the summer, we will concentrate more on
fundraising so as to build a cash reserve. And, once we have our
501c3, we can apply for funding, but that is months away.. The
PayPal account will be up and running soon. It is only an
administrative difficulty that won't allow it to function as the
account has been set up and is ready to use. IN the meantime we are
accepting cash donations and will provide you with a receipt if you
need one. If anyone out there would like to make a donations of
copies
(we needs lots of copies), give me a call. I need
copies to take to all events next week and for the job fair and the
summit,
I estimate around 1000 copies or more (but I can
make them a few hundred at a time).
As always, it's all in a
day's work! God Bless!
